In January, we finally enjoyed some snow in Bela Krajina. It fell just enough to cover the ground. Today, a few days after the snowfall, everything is green. I’m glad I took some photos of our winter fairy tale, because lately, snow is a rarity in our parts. This is clearly the new reality. We will have to adapt much more to climate change and extremes. Slovenia’s watercourses are currently flowing at a high level, but we should not forget last summer’s prolonged drought and the autumn floods.
In any case, we will certainly write more about climate change and adaptation in the future, and we will focus on nature conservation and preserving the biodiversity we have.
